Comic!

Today, on a very special episode of ND...

Hey ho. It's a comic. I'm not sure if I like how it turned out, but I have lots of excuses if you want them. First off, I sketched out this comic quite a while ago, so this was really just a semi quick fix up of something from my youth. And by youth I mean some time last year. Secondly, this was my first attempt at doing anything beyond photo touch-up in the GIMP. Yes, I have abandoned all things Windows and have embraced the ways of the open source. Unfortunately, the GIMP isn't Photoshop - a program that I spent quite some time getting used to - so, I'll probably be a little sketchy for a while. Also, I just felt like trying out a new style. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

As for my life in the real world, I just got a job as assistant to the editor of Canadian Living Magazine. I mention this because this seems bloody odd to me. I would have never guessed, before moving to Toronto, that I would end up working for Canadian Living. For those of you not from Canada, Canadian Living is a magazine who's general target audience is house wives and old people. Like I said: Bloody odd.

Drunk on Photoshop

According to a friend, who's an avid user of Linux, Photoshop runs perfectly on Wine, the Windows emulator. So you can indeed continue putting out that Photoshop quality.

Not that this isn't giant. Mind, I don't even know what you did in GIMP and what in PS.

My computer is busted. Whenever Windows attempts to load it freezes. Chalky, the fellow who built my computer (the linux guy I just mentioned), and Yvon, the other guy I run to for computer help, both agree it's a hardware problem. Yvon's gonna check it out Tuesday and see what the deal is.
